We should make sure boto is removed from all DIRAC repos in favour of signurlarity so we can then drop it from DIRACOS2.
Update: after brief investigation, almost mechanical. Need some slight refactoring with download_file (e.g. in S3Storage.py).
You don't need to install and test everything locally, nor to understand how input sandboxes are working, just try mechanical changes, push and see if the CI fails.
