🇬🇧 English

This document tracks planned features, active investigations, and known issues for upcoming releases. Items here are not guaranteed dates — just current direction and priority.

🎯 Planned Features

• Comment-author filtering: Block comments from channels on your blocklist. Spec is finalized: if the author of a top-level comment is blocklisted, the whole thread (including replies) is hidden; if only a reply's author is blocklisted, just that reply is hidden.
• Trusted Types defensive policy: Preventive hardening against YouTube/Chrome potentially tightening Content Security Policy in the future, so the script doesn't get blocked outright by browser security rules.

🔬 Active Experiments & Investigations

• Fast-scroll stall mitigation: Root cause confirmed to be a race condition in YouTube's own continuation-loading trigger mechanism — not caused by this script — and there's currently no client-side fix that fully resolves it. Two experimental directions are collecting real-world data for comparison: ① throttling continuation responses (spreading out batch arrival timing to avoid the known race window); ② showing a manual recovery button when stuck (triggered by a real user gesture instead of automatic intervention).
• Whitelist-mode scroll smoothness: Whitelist mode filters out most content, so each batch has fewer visible cards, which lengthens the gap between continuation loads. A "proactive pre-scroll" compensation mechanism is in development, pending enough real-world testing data before deciding whether to merge into stable.

🐛 Known Issues, Queued for Fixing

• The tag filter bar can grow indefinitely tall when a user has many tags, overlapping/obscuring the list content below it — no collapse mechanism currently exists.
• The "Add channel" form's Tags field doesn't auto-suggest existing tags, unlike the "Edit channel" form which does — the two forms behave inconsistently.
• The quick-action block buttons on the sidebar video list can, in certain situations, mark a card as blocked without the block actually being saved to the blocklist, and the toast message shown can be misleading (says "already whitelisted" when that isn't actually the case).
• Pausing filtering via the menu can cause the tab to become noticeably sluggish and resource-heavy within a short time, recovering once filtering is re-enabled; root cause still under investigation.

📋 Lower-Priority Backlog

• Upgrade live-stream / members-only / fundraiser filtering from the current display-layer detection to earlier, more reliable network-response-layer filtering (needs more real-world response samples to build against).
