                BentoPDF started off as just a simple internal tool I used for
                quickly merging and splitting PDFs.
              </p>

                At some point, I decided to

                >. Someone in the comments

                  href="https://www.reddit.com/r/webdev/comments/1nr937y/comment/ngdeqby/"
                  target="_blank"
                  rel="noopener noreferrer"
                  >asked if it was open source</a
                >. I thought, “Why not?” So a couple of weeks later, I
                <a
                  href="https://github.com/alam00000/bentopdf"
                  target="_blank"
                  rel="noopener noreferrer"
                  >put the code on GitHub</a
                >.

                I posted it on

                the next day, and that's when things really started to take off.

                I honestly never thought BentoPDF would grow into what it is
                today. It started as a little tool I made for myself, and
                somehow it turned into a much bigger project used by people all
                over the world.
