Hey @steakhutzeee! https://github.com/mikesmithgh/kitty-scrollback.nvim/releases has any break changes documented for major versions. From v5 -> v9:
As long as you are on a version of Neovim and Kitty that is supported, you shouldn't see much change, besides that default keymap. I can't recall why it was needed for that return {
{
'mikesmithgh/kitty-scrollback.nvim',
enabled = true,
lazy = true,
cmd = { 'KittyScrollbackGenerateKittens', 'KittyScrollbackCheckHealth', 'KittyScrollbackGenerateCommandLineEditing' },
event = { 'User KittyScrollbackLaunch' },
-- version = '*', -- latest stable version, may have breaking changes if major version changed
version = '^5.0.0', -- pin major version, include fixes and features that do not have breaking changes
config = function()
if vim.env.KITTY_SCROLLBACK_NVIM == 'true' then
vim.keymap.set({ 'v' }, 'Y', '<Plug>(KsbVisualYankLine)', {})
vim.keymap.set({ 'v' }, 'y', '<Plug>(KsbVisualYank)', {})
vim.keymap.set({ 'n' }, 'Y', '<Plug>(KsbNormalYankEnd)', {})
vim.keymap.set({ 'n' }, 'y', '<Plug>(KsbNormalYank)', {})
vim.keymap.set({ 'n' }, 'yy', '<Plug>(KsbYankLine)', {})
end
require('kitty-scrollback').setup({
{
visual_selection_highlight_mode = 'kitty',
},
})
end,
},
}I think I need to figure out a better way for those keymap overrides in the future 😅 . Let me know if you have any issues. |
ah that makes sense, since it is a separate config it may not have it on the runtime path
That is optional. It is for if you have command-line editing setup https://github.com/mikesmithgh/kitty-scrollback.nvim?tab=readme-ov-file#command-line-editing. |

runtimepath:appendin your config. I wonder if this would work for you?
