Help organize Cannabis community ceremonies: organizers, witnesses and participants
#3
Cannabis is looking for people to help organize its first community enrollment ceremonies and make later rounds work for future newcomers.
We are building money for useful computing, with encrypted workloads and person-based community participation. Preparing mainnet launch. This is an open call for volunteers and independent scrutiny; enrollment and claims are not open.
Where you can help
Organizers: propose accessible venues, plan a synchronized one-to-four-hour session, and coordinate participant information and disputes.
Venue witnesses: attend the entire session, independently check continuous presence and reconcile one commitment per person. Each venue needs at least three independent witnesses and a two-thirds quorum.
Registry reviewers: help establish continuity across rounds so a returning person cannot receive another allocation using a new identity. These reviewers are separate from venue witnesses. The operating method still needs review and adversarial testing.
Participants: express interest in a future announced ceremony and help test the usability of the participant-held backup/recovery guide. Interest is not enrollment.
Security and privacy reviewers: examine the recurring registrar, witness independence, recovery, metadata exposure and repeat-enrollment threat model.
Start here: reply with the role you are interested in and an optional public description of relevant experience. A screen name is enough. Public comments are visible to everyone. Do not post identity documents, photographs, legal names, birth dates, addresses, wallet addresses, identity commitments, passwords or recovery material. Venue logistics and any later private intake will need a reviewed process before collection.
You can follow this discussion for updates without commenting. No date or venue is confirmed. We need at least 128 genuinely distinct enrolled people before claims can open; comments, followers and automated accounts do not count. Missing the first round will not exclude future newcomers.
The system uses Cannabis-run in-person ceremonies and Semaphore identity proofs. It has no BrightID dependency and does not collect documents or biometrics. Public wallet activity and enrollment metadata remain visible as explained in the guides. Lifetime human uniqueness is still an unresolved operating requirement.
Project outreach is managed with clearly identified automation. It cannot approve humans, sign witness statements or promise an allocation. Sharing this invitation in communities that welcome it is appreciated; no mass messaging, fabricated endorsements or paid engagement.
