How to retrofit TUI to existing console app #4536
|
I just discovered Terminal.Gui and it looks great. But I just dont know how to use it. We have a bunch of console apps that have no UI, or have a rudimentary console interface or a WinForms UI that is launched using keypress. Now I'd like to transform those apps to use TUI. Examples have Terminal.Gui.Templates is using 1.19, which would be fine, but I would prefer not migrating to the new version later. Creating new project is not a solution anyway. |

Hi. Yes, for now use the latest develop packages. Sorry the templates haven't been updated yet. Take a look at ./Examples esp ./Examples/Example which is also here: https://gui-cs.github.io/Terminal.Gui/docs/getting-started.html The ./Examples/UICatalog project demonstrates almost every aspect the the library. The App bit is part of the namespace, you can put a using statement in and you wont need it.
