A Java desktop application built for managing hospital operations across multiple user roles.
Developed as a group diploma project applying Object-Oriented Programming principles.

The system simulates a real-world hospital management workflow — from public-facing guest pages to role-specific dashboards for admins, doctors, and patients. All data is persisted using plain .txt files (no database required).

• Assistance — view, dispense, and manage patient prescriptions
• Inventory — full CRUD for medicines, devices, and equipment; stock level alerts; expiry tracking; generate stock reports
• User Management — register, view, edit, and deactivate doctors and patients

Getting Started

Prerequisites

• Java JDK 8 or higher
• Apache NetBeans (recommended) or any IDE with Ant support

Run via NetBeans

1. Clone or download this repository
2. Open NetBeans → File → Open Project → select the OOP_Combined folder
3. Click Run Project (F6)

Run via Command Line

# From the project root, build first
ant jar

# Then run from the dist/ folder
cd dist
java -jar oop-group8.jar

The app must be run from the dist/ folder so relative paths to src/assets/ resolve correctly.
