## Summary We want the ability to control when and how batch fetching occurs, so add a method to force a batch fetching check even if we're scrolling.

Summary
We want the ability to control when and how batch fetching occurs, so add a method to force a batch fetching check even if we're scrolling.
Also fixed some uncompilable code.
