We already have the "Align widgets to a grid" functionality, which works nice when the workflow is not complicated. However, when there are lots of widgets, it doesn't always make a nice arrangement.
What's your proposed solution?
Could you add the possibility to first select several widgets on which the alignment would act on? Then the user could make a nicely aligned complex workflow one subgroup at a time.
Are there any alternative solutions?
Not really... Right now I am doing it manually, which is a bit tedious.
I usually don't want to align widgets, I want to have straight, horizontal connections. Which is, of course, more difficult; I attempted this several times but gave up.
