Hi! I put together an alternative design for the cedarjs.com homepage and wanted to ask before opening a PR, since redesigning an existing page is a direction call rather than a bug fix.
I'm not proposing any copy changes. Everything is the current homepage's own wording, and the version list comes from docs/versions.json and docusaurus.config.ts so it matches the real switcher. This is purely a visual treatment.
Screenshots
Hero — full-bleed background video, glassmorphism nav, bottom-anchored content

Version switcher — opens upward from the card, arrow drawn as a stair-stepped triangle to sit with Silkscreen

Trust bar and The Cedar Edge

The Cedar Way — CLI output alongside posts.service.ts and posts.sdl.ts

Closing CTA and footer

Mobile — the hero lands in exactly one screen

Live reference
Working code is here as a standalone page: cedarjs/cedarjs.com#2
That's plain HTML/CSS. If this direction is interesting I'd convert it properly to docs/src/pages/index.tsx + styles.module.css, reusing the existing token classes for the code samples, and follow the repo's Prettier and Conventional Commits setup.
A couple of things I noticed while building it
docs/static/img/logo.svg is still the older rust-coloured mark. The green cedar tree (the org avatar, which this repo's own README uses) looks like the current logo — is the SVG just pending an update?
- The TwoDots sponsor logo on the homepage points at
github.com/user-attachments/assets/a98ae112-..., which currently resolves to a generic placeholder avatar rather than their mark. Looks like an upload that didn't take.
Happy to close this if the homepage is settled, or to scope it down to just the pieces that are useful. Either way, thanks for the framework.
