qt: qt_test is incompatible on windows_arm64 msvc (x86_64 console fixture) #9251

Closed

Description

@TrapsterDK

//qt/tests:qt_test cannot be analyzed on the windows_arm64 msvc cell, which blocks closing #3302.

Evidence run 42370563472 (evidence.yml, ref main, --//cc/toolchains:compiler=msvc): windows_x86_64 passed, windows_arm64 failed:

Target //qt/tests:qt_test is incompatible and cannot be built, but was explicitly requested.
    //qt/tests:console_fixture_windows_x86_64 (a04a4b)   <-- target platform (//tools/platforms:windows_msvc_host) didn't satisfy constraint @@platforms//cpu:x86_64
ERROR: command succeeded, but not all targets were analyzed

//qt/tests:gui_test passed on both cells.

Where

  • qt/tests/BUILD.bazel, qt_test: data and env select on @platforms//os:windows and always add :console_fixture_windows_x86_64 and DX_QT_CONSOLE_FIXTURE.
  • console_fixture / console_fixture_windows_x86_64 carry target_compatible_with = _WINDOWS_X86_64, so on the arm64 host the whole test becomes incompatible.
  • The test code that reads DX_QT_CONSOLE_FIXTURE.
