email sending errors from SENDPASS are not shown to the user #2430
Description
<quark> I am using, on a NickServ private buffer, sendpass quark. I am not getting any feedback, nor receiving any emails. What am I doing wrong?
<quark> I am getting:
<quark> 18:05:58 -irc.ergo.chat- An error occurred
<quark> 18:07:05 -irc.ergo.chat- Try again later
This was actually an email dispatch error:
error : internal : Failed to dispatch e-mail to : redacted@redacted.com : [redacted email server error]
error : services : error in NS SENDPASS : [redacted email server error]
NS REGISTER shows email errors to the user (to help email selfhosters debug), but SENDPASS does not.
