Set dc:title separately from pdf:Title? #121

Description

@rzach

pdftitle currently sets both the pdf:Title (what goes in the window header of your PDF viewer) and the dc:title field. But I might want a book with title and subtitle to display "Title: Subtitle" in the window header (or even "Title: Subtitle (Author)", while dc:title has to be "Title" and prism:subtitle has to be "Subtitle".

    There isn't something like "pdf:Title". What goes in the window header is controlled by the DisplayDocTitle key of the ViewerPreferences dictionary and this key is described like this in the PDF 2.0 spec:

    A flag specifying whether the window’s title bar should display the document title taken from the dc:title element of the XMP metadata stream (see 14.3.2, "Metadata streams"). If false, the title bar should instead display the name of the PDF file containing the document. Default value: false.

    In PDF 1.7 the value is taken from the Title entry in the info dictionary.

    So sorry you can't do that. The windows shows dc:title.

    (I agree that it is a pain, the PDF spec 32005 e.g. shows in the window header Document management — Portable Document Format — PDF 1.7 and 2.0 structure namespace inclusion in ISO 32000-2 and I never know what it is about as the tab shows only the first words.)
