Can I call a URL with HTTP Basic Authentication?

I want to call a URL in the format http://username:password@IP-Address/api but I only get the message "Rule "abc" ran, got Unauthorized from ..."

Can I provide the username and password for HTTP Basic Authentication somehow?

Ok, so I realized that it is not possible. But it's easy to extend the code to make it work.

I added an XML elemet to the "rules.xml" file that I called "AuthBase64" where I can provide the username and password for HTTP Basic Authentication as a Base64 encoded string. Then I add the DefaultRequestHeaders.Authorization attribute to the httpClient object.
