Hi there 👋 I'm Markos Dimitsas

I build retrieval and agent systems, and the unglamorous plumbing that makes them work inside real organisations.

Three years of AI research at Coburg University, Germany, on a federal research programme — LectureChat, a multilingual agentic RAG system answering with grounded citations, presented at ECIR 2026. Seven years before that shipping production software for Greek companies: shipyards, municipalities, libraries. One of those systems has been running since 2019.

Now independent, based in Xanthi. Working in the open more than I used to.

Currently · building on Hermes Agent · figuring out what breaks when RAG meets real company documents
