Official Homebrew tap for Shebe - BM25 full-text code search for AI agents via MCP.

Installation

brew tap shebe-oss/tap
brew install shebe

This installs two binaries:

• shebe - CLI for standalone use
• shebe-mcp - MCP server for editor integration

Quick Start

Index a repository:

# create/clone repo first
shebe index /path/to/your/repo

Search code:

shebe search "handleLogin"
shebe search "auth AND (session OR token)"

Find symbol references:

shebe refs AuthorizationPolicy

MCP Server

Register shebe-mcp with your editor or AI agent. The server exposes 14 tools including search_code, index_repository, find_references and read_file.

Configuration

Shebe works out-of-the-box with sensible defaults. For tuning, set environment variables or create ~/.config/shebe/config.toml:
