MIPS_TO_C unrecognized

Good evening!

I was attempting to use the decompiler you've made in Ubuntu Linux. Already installed all of the requiered packages and made sure the ROM sha1sum was correct.However, as I was working on it, i've gotten multiple errors since it appears the "mips_to_c" decompiler in Github was renamed into m2c, so there it seems to be some broken processes.

I attempted to fix the issue by renaming all "MIPS_TO_C" lines in both decomp.sh and Makefile file into "M2C". However, the following errors showed up after what initially seemed to be a succesful translation of the func_ into c:

So far i'm out of ideas and I dunno what is the cause of this error, so if you happen to know or give me any suggestions on how to fix this issue I would greatly appreciate it.

Hi, thanks for your feedback!

After further investigation I found out that m2c needs a python package to also be installed. With the latest commit I added some basic requirements checks into the Makefile that checks if git, python3 and the required packages are installed. If anything is missing on your system, it should tell you what you need to do.

Thank you very much for your response and for the commit.

I've downloaded the updated files and tried again. Unfortunately, the very same errors I've shown in my screenshot are hapening again. (HUNK #2 failed at 177 and HUNK #2 failed at 179) During the check, it shown git, python3 and the python package pycparser were detected, so it does not seem to be an issue regarding this.

Once again any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hey!

Actually this is yet another issue.

I believe the m2c tool creates slightly other C code from MIPS than before. Since I use diff files to adjust the decompiled C code to change the naming of functions etc., it's no longer able to apply the diff file anymore in some cases.

I will look into that part again at a later time.
