feat(api): add DpopProof.build and ServerClock for RFC 9449 proofs - #1239
FAPI will bind the client token to the device key, so each request will carry an RFC 9449 proof signed by that key. DpopProof.build(key, request, now, jti) makes the proof from a DeviceKey and a BoundRequest, which holds the method, URL, and optional token the proof binds to.
clerk_go accepts iat only from 5 minutes before to 30 seconds after its own clock. ServerClock keeps the offset from the last server time, so a phone with a wrong clock still sends an iat the server accepts. Nothing calls either class yet. The next PR sends proofs and feeds each response's Date to ServerClock.record.
This PR is MOBILE-679. It stacks on #1237, which adds the device key.
What to focus on
htu drops the query, fragment, and userinfo but keeps the path, so a proxy URL such as /__clerk/v1/client stays intact. clerk_go rejects an htu with userinfo.
Nimbus is testImplementation only, as an independent verifier. No JOSE library ships.
Testing
On an API 34 emulator, clerk_go's pkg/dpop.Verify accepted every Keystore-key proof. With the emulator clock 20 minutes ahead or behind, the ServerClock proof verified and a local-clock proof failed.
The e2e session-persistence regression did not run, because no Platform API key was available.
How to revert
A plain revert is enough. The next PR in the stack depends on it.

The changes add DPoP JWT proof generation with request claims, optional access-token hashing, and ES256 signing. They also add a server-adjusted clock and tests for proof claims and clock behavior. Instrumented tests write proof data and JWK details to JSONL files, check proof properties, and report timing measurements.
clerk/clerk-android#1240: Adds the network path that sends DPoP proofs and synchronizes ServerClock from response Date headers. It uses the DpopProof implementation and its proof contract.
No actionable proof or clock defect was established. Another Team Mobile member must approve the build-file change before merge.

Explanation
The PR description contains all three required sections. “Testing” lists unit, instrumented, verifier, performance, and not-run tests. “Risk” states the runtime risk and explains the new classes have no caller. “How to revert” states that a plain revert is sufficient and identifies the next PR dependency.
Full details: Description check
Explanation
The description is mostly complete and follows the template. It has What & why (FAPI device-key binding, DpopProof.build and ServerClock, MOBILE-679, stacked on #1237), What to focus on (htu handling, Nimbus as testImplementation only), Testing (API 34 emulator runs verified by clerk_go pkg/dpop.Verify, clock-offset cases, and the e2e session-persistence regression not run), How to revert, and Screenshots. The Risk section is missing, even though the template asks for it and the diff touches public-facing auth-related token binding. The description also does not state whether the change touches .github/protected-paths or an .api dump. The screenshots are referenced by image links only, so a reader cannot check them from the text alone. The emulator runs were on an earlier head, and the author notes the BoundRequest change at a41cb38 had no device run. The description does not mention this, though the PR objectives do.
Full details: Device Evidence
Explanation
The diff changes six files under source/api/, so the protected-path rule applies. The PR description has only after-run emulator reports and explicitly says the images have no before. It does not provide before/after device evidence. The statement “This PR changes no screen” does not explicitly state why device before/after evidence cannot apply or that the emulator run exercised no screen or UI state. The prior failure therefore remains unresolved. No local patch that forces a UI state appears in the diff.
Resolution
Add an explicit option (b) statement: the PR changes only API code and no screen or UI state, so device before/after screen evidence cannot apply; the emulator instrumentation run exercised the API only and did not exercise a screen or UI state. Alternatively, provide before/after device evidence in a table for every affected screen and state.
Full details: Docstring Coverage
Explanation
Docstring coverage is 0.00% which is insufficient. The required threshold is 80.00%. Docstring coverage is scoped to functions touched by this diff with cyclomatic complexity of at least 2. Documentation-only edits and deletions within surviving functions are included; unchanged diff context and fully deleted functions are excluded. Analyzed 1 functions across 6 files.
Resolution
Write docstrings for the functions missing them to satisfy the coverage threshold.

This pull request changes files listed in .github/protected-paths, so it needs an approval from another Team Mobile member before it can merge. CodeRabbit's approval isn't enough for these files.
Proofs built through BoundRequest verify against their own embedded JWK in an independent verifier. htu drops the query and fragment and keeps the /__clerk proxy path. ath appears only with a token and matches the RFC 9449 example. iat is whole seconds.

detekt's LongParameterList allows five parameters, and DpopProof.build took six.
Group htm, htu, and ath's inputs into BoundRequest, the request RFC 9449 binds the proof to.
